Bee Houses
Experience the excitement of bee season with a fun, hands-on learning activity for adults and youth alike! We construct our wooden bee houses by hand on-site, creating safe nesting spaces for the gentle Mason Bees and Leafcutter Bees. Young participants can watch these docile native bees in action while learning about the environment and the vital role pollinators play in supporting healthy gardens and woodlands. Adult gardeners also benefit from the valuable pollination services these phenomenal pollinators provide to their own piece of the planet. These native, solitary, cavity-dwelling bees will forage and pollinate plants within a 300-foot radius, making them ideal helpers for small, local habitats.

Harvest cocoons at the beginning of fall, store them in a safe location, and return them to your bee house at the beginning of bee season (Mason Bees in April while Leafcutter Bees begin inJune). The bees will soon emerge and provide educational entertainment for months to come. Contact us for purchasing information!
